All O Bee Credit Union members are welcome to attend the meeting.
You go to the event at https://obee.vfairs.com/ and login using the email you created during registration. The event is accessible from desktop, mobile and tablet devices.
No. You do not need to download or install anything to participate. You only need access to the internet.
The entire meeting will be recorded. The recording will be available for viewing after the event for one month. Please note, you will not be eligible for any prizes or giveaways unless you attend on the day of the event.

Jeremy Franklin

O Bee Mortgage Loan Officer (NMLS ID# 1144183)

Jeremy has spent most of his life in the Pacific Northwest; and the past 13 years working in financial services throughout Washington, Oregon & Idaho. He is skilled at guiding members through the sometimes-complex process of home purchasing to find straightforward and affordable solutions. “I take pride in sharing my knowledge and educating our members during each and every interaction. Mortgage lending is a passion for me, and I strive to make the mortgage process simple and seamless," says Jeremy. He is a diehard sports fan and avid concertgoer. In his free time, you can usually find him cheering on the Seahawks, Mariners, Trailblazers or catching his favorite bands in concert.

Shawna Gasak

VP of Consumer Lending

Born and raised in Washington, Shawna serves as the Vice President of Consumer Lending for O Bee. Her background spans all aspects of consumer lending, including underwriting and collections. Shawna has also worked in mortgage lending, commercial leasing, and credit risk management. She is a proud dog mom who supports fostering and adopting rescued pets. Outside of work, Shawna enjoys volunteering in her community, gardening, music festivals, movies, reading, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family.

Mike Lindsay

Mike has been a mortgage loan officer with O Bee since 2012. With over 25 years’ experience, he has worked in every part of the mortgage industry, including owning his own mortgage brokerage. Mike has helped many individuals and families obtain the goal of home ownership. Whether you’re buying your first home, purchasing your dream home or refinancing, there’s a lot riding on your choice of a loan officer. Mike has the experience, knowledge and drive to provide you customized solutions, great rates, and low costs. He loves a challenge and will look at the big picture and organize the process into manageable pieces to achieve your goals. Born in Idaho, Mike has lived in the Pacific Northwest for the past 32 years. He and his wife love to spend time with their three daughters and three German Shepard dogs. He enjoys hiking the beautiful Pacific Northwest and traveling with his family in a custom Sprinter Van. He is a fan of all local sports teams and enjoys books and podcasts.

Megan Ockerman

Assistant Curator
Olympia Tumwater Foundation

Megan earned her Master of Arts in History from Washington State University in May 2017 and is the assistant curator at the Schmidt House. When shebegan researching the Olympia Brewing Company for her master’s thesis, she discovered – and utilized –the brewery archives located in the basement of the Schmidt House. Her independent research resulted in a thesis that provides an in-depth look at the family and famous beer that continues to impact our region.

Melanie Repko

BSA/Compliance Officer
O Bee Credit Union

Melanie serves as the BSA/Compliance Officer for O Bee and has spent the last 10 years working for financial institutions in Ohio, Nevada and now Washington state. Her background is in both regulatory and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance with a focus on risk identification, fraud and financial crimes investigations, and the development of policies and procedures. She holds several compliance certifications making her a knowledgeable asset to the credit union. Outside of work, Melanie enjoys spending time with family, gardening, watching baseball, traveling, and exploring new places.

Jolee has over 19 years of experience in the mortgage industry and has received several top producing awards and customer service honors throughout her career. Rachel Webb

Rachel was born and raised in Washington state. She has held several positions within the financial industry and is pleased to be part of the dedicated and skilled Mortgage Lending Team at O Bee. She provides exceptional support to members as they move through the mortgage application process, from initial contact to gathering information and timely follow up. “Purchasing a home can be one of the most important transactions of a lifetime, but it can sometimes be stressful. I aim to make sure it is an enjoyable and memorable process by keeping my members in the loop every step of the way.” Outside of the office Rachel enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, and exploring the beautiful PNW.

Ryan Bedford

Associate Member

Ryan is a licensed attorney in Washington and California, serving clients in both states, with a focus on education and legal advocacy for at-risk and incarcerated youth. He attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and Oak Brook College of Law and Government Policy. Ryan has a keen interest in volunteering with local nonprofits. He assists them with regulatory compliance, human resources, risk management, strategic planning, marketing, and development to increase their scope and effectiveness. He and his wife have four children and love spending time with family and friends and enjoy attempting to maintain a small hobby farm.

Steve Blankenship

Member

Steve graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. He began his career at the Olympia Brewing Company as their Master Scheduler before taking a position with Tacoma Paper Board. After seven years in Tacoma, he worked with the California Paper Board in Santa Clara as their Plant Manager for 18 years. Steve recently retired from the Risk Management Department of the Olympia Department of Corrections.

Michele Fisher

Member

Michele has over 20 years’ experience in the high-tech industry where she has worked across corporate strategy, strategic planning, innovation, engineering, and marketing. In the corporate world, she has led global teams, developed strategies, and executed plans that have accelerated revenue and profit growth across global markets. Michele grew up in Thurston County, but currently lives in Portland, Oregon. She holds a master’s degree from Georgia Tech and bachelor’s degrees from Claremont McKenna College and Cal Poly Pomona. Outside of work, Michele and her husband enjoy traveling as well as outdoor activities such as hiking and boating.

Jason Gordon

1st Vice Chair

Jason grew up in Thurston County and worked for the State of Washington in higher education agencies in the Accounting and IT fields. He served on the Lacey Planning Commission, and currently teaches a class that helps families build a strong financial legacy for future generations. He believes in the value of providing strong financial services which improve members’ lives. Jason graduated from The Evergreen State College earning a B.A. with an emphasis in accounting, and from Brandman University, where he completed a Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership. Jason and his wife, Beth, are blessed with two energetic boys.

Joy Johnston

Member

Joy Johnston has over 15 years of communications and marketing experience. As the former director of communications for both the City of Bothell and the City of Mercer Island, Joy reached out to diverse audiences to build effective relationships between citizens and their government as well as bolster the communities’ standing in the region. She launched Mojo Strategies in 2012 and has since worked with dozens of public and private sector organizations throughout the Puget Sound region. She is passionate about O Bee's rich history and commitment to community and happy to contribute talent and energy to ensure O Bee's strength into the future. Joy holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Washington.

Christy Kriegsman

Associate Member

Christy owns a farm and manages residential and self-storage rentals. In the past she worked as a registered nurse. She previously served on the Board at Olympia's Nova School and earned a B.A. from the University of Alaska.

Prabakaran Manoharan

2nd Vice Chair

Prabakaran has more than twenty years’ experience in software engineering. His work with the Board focuses on IT security, stability and customer satisfaction. He enjoys being a part of the O Bee Board, especially through community involvement, and looks forward to helping O Bee continue to grow by providing excellent value to its members. Prabakaran and his wife, Dr. Devi, are blessed with twins; a boy and a girl.

Jerry Murphy

Member

A lifelong resident of Thurston County, Jerry has been a local business owner for more than 30 years. He served as President on the Tumwater Chamber of Commerce and was a Tumwater City Councilmember. Jerry brings seasoned leadership to the Board and a strong connection to the local business community.

Will Saunders Jr.

Board Chair

Will is an attorney with international business and regulatory experience. He has worked for the state of Washington on technology, regulation and transparency policy since 2005. Before coming to Olympia, Will was based in Russia working on projects for General Dynamics, Middlebury College, and the International Finance Corporation. He also advises on cyber security and technology issues before the Board.

Diane Branson-Unwin

Member

Diane has more than 34 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Before retiring, she was a finance executive with a concentration in the credit union environment. She brings leadership and strategic skills to her roll on the board, along with a strong desire to improve the lives of those in our community through her work with O Bee. Over the past 15 years, she has served on several community boards in both Thurston and Pierce County, from helping animals to shaping support for local business communities. She now enjoys spending time traveling and volunteering with organizations about which she is passionate. Diane has lived in Thurston County for 30 years.

Judith Weeks

Member

Judith retired from Providence St. Peter Hospital after 35 years as the Histology Manager. She brings extensive managerial experience to the Board and a deep respect for the history of O Bee. Her father-in-law was employed by the brewery for 37 years and she has family members that have belonged to O Bee from the inception of the brewery. She is proud of her strong ties to the Olympia Brewery and is appreciative of O Bee’s role in preserving the Brewery history and the origins of the credit union.

Miriam L. Bausch

Miriam is a dedicated volunteer at O Bee and has served in many roles on all Board Committees to enhance members' financial needs. Her service is inspired by the "People Helping People" motto of the credit union movement. Born, raised, and educated at nearby colleges in Olympia, she was employed for many years with the executive and legislative branches of state government. Along with her work on the Board, she pursues community involvement through volunteering.

Bruce Cramer

Bruce served as the President of O Bee from 1986 to 2010, when he retired. He guided the credit union from a select employee group (SEG) membership model to an open charter membership, which made O Bee membership available to anyone living or working in Washington State. Experienced in all facets of credit union operations, Bruce currently volunteers at Tulip Credit Union.

Martha Prestin

Chair

Martha, a certified public accountant, brings a strong financial background to her work as a volunteer at O Bee. She is Chief Financial Officer for the Chief Seattle Council Boy Scouts of America. Her great grandfather, Ted McGill, founded O Bee Credit Union while working in Bottlehouse “A” at the Olympia Brewery. Martha is proud of her strong family ties to the Credit Union and is honored to be part of a team that has helped to grow O Bee to where it is today and maintain its history in Tumwater and the surrounding areas.

Sonja Winkelman

A proud member of O Bee Credit Union since 1977, Sonja has family ties to the Olympia Brewery. She recently retired from the State of Washington in the Audit/Analyst/Investigator fields after more than 25 years. Sonja is passionate about the Credit Union and is proud to be a part of an organization that plays such an important role in the community, while helping members with their financial needs.

Kari Summerour

Kari is a certified public accountant and graduate of The Evergreen State College and South Puget Sound Community College. She is a long-time Olympia resident and has worked for local public accounting firms, providing tax and accounting services. Kari has also worked for the State of Washington, including time with the state Legislature, in higher education and as an auditor, examining state agency compliance with state and federal law. Most recently, Kari has managed external audits for state agencies. She lives in Olympia with her husband and bulldog and enjoys gardening and exploring all parts of our beautiful state.

James Collins

Chief Executive Officer

James has been with O Bee since 2002. He started as the Chief Financial Officer, and then moved to his current role of Chief Executive Officer in 2011. Prior to O Bee, he worked for various companies including Boeing. His background is in Information Systems and Finance, and he has a Master of Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University. Outside of work, James volunteers with a Search and Rescue team along with his dog, Sadie. He leads one of the largest K9 Search and Rescue groups in the Washington state, helping hikers and others find their way safely out of the woods.

Dave Echtle

Chief Lending Officer

As Chief Lending Officer at O Bee, Dave is responsible for the credit union’s loan portfolio. He also oversees the Member Solutions Department, Commercial Loan Department, Processing Department, Mortgage Lending Department and Underwriting Department. His career spans more than 30 years in financial management, business leadership and strategy. Dave holds a Master of Business Administration from Saint Martin’s University and bachelor’s degree from The Evergreen State College. Outside of work, Dave enjoys hiking, biking, traveling, gardening, and family.

Daniel Hildreth

Vice President of Finance

Daniel is Vice President of Finance at O Bee. He was born and raised in Pennsylvania and spent several years in Texas before moving to the Pacific Northwest. After working as a credit union examiner for the states of Texas and Washington for four years, he joined O Bee in late 2014. Daniel has earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Martin’s University. Daniel has worked extensively with the United Way of Thurston County, helping coordinate O Bee’s workplace campaigns and volunteer opportunities. In his free time Daniel enjoys photography, reading, and wading through wetlands surveying the locations of salamander egg masses.

Jenni Roberts

Chief Operations Officer

Jenni is Chief Operations Officer and has been with O Bee since 2006. She is a lifelong Thurston County resident and graduate of the University of Washington and holds a Master of Business Administration from St. Martin’s University. She brings with her over 16 years of experience in operations, compliance, process efficiency, database management, fraud, and risk management. She oversees a highly skilled team of managers in multiple departments who deliver outstanding service to O Bee. Outside of work, Jenni enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, gardening, traveling, and boating in the South Puget Sound.

Lee Wojnar

Vice President of Marketing

Lee is Vice President of Marketing at O Bee. He is originally from the Philadelphia area, where he owned and operated a digital media company. He graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Lee produced Windows-based digital content for the Aldus Company and is part of the team that launched Aldus Photostyler and Pagemaker on the windows platform. He was commissioned to design the Smithsonian’s 150th Anniversary poster and developed some of the first digital images on a personal computer for the project. He was then recruited by Intel Corporation to market the Workstation product group. He is currently Board Chair of the Olympia Tumwater Foundation. He has served on the United Way Board for nine years and was past Board President. He also served on the boards of the Asset Building Coalition, Community Investment Partners, and the Capital Soccer Fields.

This year we are featuring an entertaining Scavenger Hunt where you can hunt for 8 different items throughout the conference rooms for fun and a chance to win a $25 gift card. Watch your points add up on the Leaderboard. You can also earn points for attending the meeting and breakout sessions, answering the survey, and more. The three people at the top of the Leaderboard at the end of our meeting will each win a $25 gift card.

Free Custom Olympia Scarf

The first 100 members to register and attend the entire meeting will receive a free custom Olympia scarf. At the end of the meeting, you will receive an email with your coupon. There will be eight (8) drawings for cash prizes. You will be automatically entered into the drawing when you register to attend. Your name will remain in the drawing only if you attend on the day of the meeting and stay for the entire meeting. Our new virtual format allows us to tally all those attending, so there is no need to be concerned whether your name is in the drawing. Raffle and Giveaway Terms and Conditions*

*Terms and Conditions: No purchase necessary. You must be 21 or older to enter the cash raffle. Raffle and Giveaway are part of the O Bee 2022 Virtual Annual Meeting held Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 10:00 am PST to 12:00 pm PST. Eight (8) raffle winners will be selected randomly. One entry per person. If you have more than one entry you will be disqualified. Raffle winners must be present for the entire meeting to win. There will be two (2) winners of $50; two (2) winners of $100; two (2) winners of $150; one (1) winner of $300; and one (1) winner of the $2,000 Grand Prize. Names selected will be announced at the meeting. Winners will be contacted via email or phone call for confirmation. Winners will receive the cash prize funded into a savings account unless an advanced request is made otherwise. The odds of winning depend on the number of people attending the meeting at the time of the raffle drawing. Raffle prize winners are responsible for all State, Federal and local taxes. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Except where prohibited, winners must sign and return within seven (7) days of receiving an IRS form W-9 to claim their prize. If the potential prize winner fails to return the W-9 form within seven (7) days of receiving it, the potential prize winner forfeits their right to the prize, and another winner will be selected.
